L'album de Kelis intitulé « Kelis Was Here » qui devait sortir le 13 juin, a été reporté au 22 août. Linda Perry, Scott Storch, Raphael Saadiq et Nas, producteurs de cet opus, s'attèlent à la finition de « Kelis Was Here ».

Kelis commencera sa tournée européenne le 24 juin en Suisse, ensuite, elle se rendra à Londres, Amsterdam, Berlin, et terminera son voyage par la Serbie.

MerCi Pour ce MAGNiFik MONTAGE que j'ai gagné sur Jennifer-Freeman.Sky. J'étais réveiller tôt ce jour-là quand j'ai vu ce concours ...



Kelis sera également sur la bande originale du film « Step Up », aux côtés de Ciara et Chris Brown entre autres. Le morceau de la chanteuse s'intitule « 80's Joint ». Plus d'infos sur ce projet dans la news Chamillionaire et The Clipse sur la BO de Step Up.

Le premier single Bossy, extrait de « Kelis Was Here », tourne déjà depuis plusieurs mois et fait déjà un malheur.

Dans les informations du mari de Kelis cette fois-ci, en rappel, Nas a annoncé la sortie pour septembre 2006 aux Etats-Unis de son nouvel album, premier sur Def Jam Recordings et successeur de « Streets Disciple » en 2004, baptisé « Hip-hop Is Dead ». Janvier 2006, Nas et Jay-Z avaient enterré la hache de guerre, Nas ayant rejoint le très célèbre label Def Jam Recordings et mis fin à une collaboration de plus de onze ans avec Columbia Records. Un mois plus tard, en février, il était prévu que Will I Am enregistre avec Nas.

Il semblerait que la sortie de « Kelis Was Here », nouvel et quatrième album de Kelis, soit maintenant fixée au 22 août 2006 aux Etats-Unis sur Jive Records, selon Billboard.com.
